Is Your Roof Leaking?
You may be contacting us because you have a leak in your roof. In that case we need some idea where your roof is leaking. We have a few questions that will point us in the right direction, with the help of Stick Man:
Stick Man works cheap, and is here 24/7. His specialty is helping you describe where the roof leaks. With this basic information, we should be able to zero in on the problem area and identify what's going on.
Leak Location Tutorial
We have created a little diagram to get all of us using the same lingo when we're discussing how to identify an area on your roof.
To describe where your roof is leaking pretend you're Stick Man, on the ground facing the side of the house where the leak is.
If the roof leak isn't in the front or back then it must be on one of the areas below.
Now, imagine you're on the ground pointing to the leak. For example, if you point left of center, that would be the left side.
We are zeroing in on the leak. Just a few more questions.
Is the leak on the lower or higher section? If the leak is coming in down by the gutter, that's the lower section. If the leak is showing higher on the slope, then that's higher.
This information directs our attention to the general area where you are having troubles. In most cases we don’t have to see the leakage from inside, or from the attic. We will find the leak from outside. With well over 20,000 successful roof repairs under our belts, all we need a clue- point us in the right direction and we will find the leak and report back to you. If for any reason we can't pinpoint the leakage, we will contact you and approach it differently.
If at any time you're not sure about something, or have something to add, use the comment box and we'll follow-up and make this easy for you.
